My FOMM "run game button" (top right) reads as Launch NVSE, so I assume it starts the game through NVSE, dunno if I had to set that up or FOMM already came/configured itself that way.
The GOG versions do work with the current release

STEP was unable to help me
STEP was unable to help me with my issues, I tried on more than one occasion to use MO and it failed in the same way each time. Maybe it doesn't like SSD's or my version of Windows. It probably doesn't work correctly if the account is administrator I'm thinking, but I did find that post from tannin about right pane order.
GoG version is 4GB aware, it does not load nvse.
Lets not bash other sites OK.

That's one of the things I've been addressing here this past month; coding and idea that's in-between MO and NMM to help with modding. It'll cover quite a few bases initially (at least all the ones I can think of- if anyone else can think of something, I'll add it in if I can) and have a few independent CLI back-end programs that might be useful to others as stand-alone apps.
It'll be a few weeks before it's ready to tinker around with, but overall in the scope I'm working with, it'll be awhile before I get everything in it I'm wanting to cover.

I haven't looked at the scripts, but from what I've seen posted so far, probably not- though Roy is better equipped to answer this than me. NVSE adds new script functions that might be compiled into the TTW scripts themselves outside of the MCM. If they are, either the script won't function as intended, or, if a function requires a pointer to something, let's say an object in the game, it could result in a CTD. Though, it might be worth a run just to see what happens, that way you could relate the effect to cause. It really helps later when tracking down similar, but unrelated modding problems.

Wait, are you saying the NVSE
Wait, are you saying the NVSE won't work with the GOG version of New Vegas? The GOG team explicitly said it should.
"Who are you, who do not know your history?"
