Quick question about Wilks

Post by improvman » Sun Jan 18, 2015 10:49 pm

I was doing the quest (he ran up to me), and found I was missing the option to accept the quest.

Specifically I was left with:

  • Help costs caps kid, and you look pretty broke.

  • I don't know you look like a tasty snack.

Even after loading only TTW it still happened.  Is anyone else having this problem?

Nope, can't say that I have.

Nope, can't say that I have. Do you think it might be because of, you know, any mods that you might have in your load order? Maybe you could provide that for the rest of us so that we can have an easier time trying to help you and find out where your problem lies.

I did the Those! quest and I

Post by Risewild » Mon Jan 19, 2015 12:12 am

I did the Those! quest and I got the options to help him, so I can only say it is not a vanilla TTW bug... a LO would be of great help like Tricky said. I will risk asking if you have TTWFixes, TTWReputations and TTWSpeechchallenges on your LO, they seem like possible culprits (maybe).

Post by improvman » Mon Jan 19, 2015 12:23 am

I had uninstalled everything except TTW and TTWfixes.

And by that I mean I uninstalled to vanilla and reinstalled those two.

Maybe the save is corrupt

Post by Risewild » Mon Jan 19, 2015 6:19 am

Maybe the save is corrupt already and will keep having that problem no matter if it is vanilla TTW or not?  frown I have no idea...

Going to test the corrupted

Post by improvman » Mon Jan 19, 2015 9:12 am

Going to test the corrupted save theory.  If that doesn't work I'll post the load order, and possibly consider a clean install of FNV/Fo3.

The game works the same before and after the merge.  So I think the act of merging the optional esps can be excluded.

I was missing some options

Post by TeslaCat » Wed Jan 21, 2015 6:14 pm

I was missing some options when the quest acceptance dialog came up, but that was because of the choices I'd picked while talking to him. Maybe it has something to do with that.

The Wilks problem still remains.
