The Pitt - Blind (yes BLIND) playthrough...

Post by EnderDragonFire » Thu Oct 23, 2014 3:11 am

So, I never got around to playing this DLC, and know nearly nothing about it. Without too many spoilers, about what level should I head in, and what should I bring with me?

(ALL that I know about this DLC is: It has raiders, a dude with badass PA, troggs, and is set in Pittsburg)

Only third party mods I am using are New Vegas Uncut, TJ's fixes, and Fellout.

It's well leveled and, IMO a low level DLC. Lvl 5 should do it, Lvl 10 is easier. Beyond that it's overkill.

Cool. I am playing a Chaotic-neutral type raider character, to go all DnD on you. I have been told that this dlc is fitting for that type of charahcter, very appocalyptic.

i've been there as early as lvl 3 or 4, and it doesn't really matter what you bring with you

Kind of like Lonesome Road

Kind of like Lonesome Road then? JK, of course but I did do it at level 3 on my first play through. Seemed logical to me, it was closest, and most relevant to the courier's past. The loot made the rest of the game easy. It took me literally a week to complete the thing, on easy difficulty :P

nah, doing LR right out of goodsprings is more of an accomplishment.  doing the Pitt after running straight towards it from 101 is just a strange brand of determinism that won't really affect the difficulty of the dlc.

The only DLC in Fallout 3

Post by paragonskeep » Thu Oct 23, 2014 6:18 pm

The only DLC in Fallout 3 that I had any difficulty with a low level was Point Lookout the rest seemed to scale to level more. Not sure if they actually do, but that was my perception of them. I also play on Very Hard with MMM etc from the start so maybe I'm just more of a sadist.

If life is but a test, where's the damn answer key?!?!?

i'm pretty sure you can't be considered a true masochist on this forum unless you have Panzer in your LO
