TTW for french F3

Hello, I post on the forum because I tried to install TTW but my initial version being in French it did not work. My question is simple, a version of TTW is she devellopement order to install it via the main language of the player is to me in French. thank you

In French Bonjour, je poste sur le forum car j'ai essayé d'installer TTW mais ma version initiale etant en Français ça n'a pas marcher. Ma question est simple, une version de TTW est-elle en devellopement pour pouvoir l'installer via le langage principale du joueur soit pour moi en Français. Merci

Not actively. We would like to have it in non-english languages, but it is low priority at the moment. When 2.3 comes out it will be a step closer to that.

Yep! Malheureusement, il n'y a pas pour le moment de version française du mod.

Mais pour ma part ça ne fonctionne plus avec TTW2.0+. Il te faut de toute façon, une version de Fallout 3 anglaise. Sans ça, tu ne peux rien faire.

The problem is that I can not install the games in English via the CD. So at the moment if I understand it's dead.

When the games will he be compatible for the non-English version?

In french

Le problème c'est que je ne peux pas installer le jeux en Anglais via le CD. Donc pour le moment si je comprend bien c'est mort.

Quand le jeux pourra t-il etre compatible pour les version non anglaise ?

These instructions won't work with TTW v2.0 and later. They only worked with TTW v1.4 and earlier. I have updated the FAQ accordingly.

However, it MIGHT be possible to run the conversion scripts in FNVedit on your foreign-language version of FO3, I dunno. Seems like it would be fraught with problems though.

Yes that's exactly what i was saying ;)

There is a way but i did not really tested it or let's say i didn't finished this new game yet and GTA-V it's not helping ;) But so far i didn't had much trouble.

To make it works quickly, i used: "Egg Translator" (with custom database available on their website) ,i think "Fallout 3 Localizator" would works too and a Steam copy of both games.

Install TTW 2.0+ with both games in English, make sure everything it's ok and use Egg Translator to "quick translating" all the needed plugins. I won't be perfect and especially for TTW's assets but it's good enough to play the game. Not really complicated, you just need some time to finish it well, if you want it to...

**For the french database of Egg Translator there a lot of missing strings in Zeta.esm but it wouldn't be complicated to complete it, i just not looked for it yet... (translating is cool but playing is better!)

Once all of the plugins are translate, check the load order and start a new game (with no other mod, of course!) to make sure there not a broken plugin. Sometimes, Egg Translator or a bad move with it could kill a plugin... At this point, you should be able to play the game with all the English voices which is fine to me!

If you really want to play it with the French audio, then extract your French audio files like the FAQ's say. But TTW 2.0+ rename and reorganize some of those files, so you will have to check every files that you can't ear "in-game" and replace it by hand... It could take a long, long, long, long time... I would say that 30% of the French's voices are still working, but i give up with this since i like to play with the English audio.

You can use a French copy of FNV, it doesn't matter for the patcher but you absolutely need an English copy of Fallout 3. The reason i use an English copy of FNV it's to avoid trouble. Because French and English copy may not be exactly the same and it may be a problem at some point to play TTW 2.0+.

Anyway for me it is impossible to install TTW because I do not have the ability to install Fallout 3 in English. I hope you will quickly find a way to install it with the non-English version because at the moment it is impossible for a lot of people. And a game in English when there is no one understands anything. I hope that the next version will come soon and it will fix this problem.

I bought FO3 for play whit TTW, I didn't know it's only for English version, my CD is in Spanish, I can't change the language so I can't play TTW. Can I do anything? Please try to fix it. Thank you.
