Nexus Mod Manager to install Fallout 3 mods to TTW?

Post by hellblazer » Wed Aug 21, 2013 2:10 am

Can you do that? I understand that you can install FNV mods, but can you configure it to install mods you download from the fallout 3 nexus site like street lights 2.0, etc to your New Vegas directory? If not, then do you all use FOMM or a mixture of FOMM for Fallout 3 mods and NMM for FNV mods? The FAQ mentions using FOMM to install fallout 3 mods but doesn't mention NMM. I understand that Fallout 3 mods have to be converted and sometimes that is as easy as copying a converted ESP/ESM into you data directory AFTER installing the fallout 3 version of the mod.

Starting over with this post. If you're downloading an already converted mod, that's not the same as converting it yourself. If you have to download the mod and then get the converted esm, that's still not converting it yourself. Actually read the FAQ and maybe download Chuck's conversion guide. There's a wealth of information about it here if you take the time to have a look around. To answer your question you have to download unconverted FO3 mods manually, convert them with the conversion script, then make sure the finished product is in line with TTW's standards. Things have changed since FO3, even if you can't tell in game.
