Car Hitpoints and Explosive Radius

I am traveling through DC ruins with TTW, PN and NVEC Installed (patched) and DC battles are over if someone shoots a car even a little.. and BOOM It becomes a chain reaction with all near by cars.. Its INSANE lol!


I remember there being a mod for Fo3 which increased the car hit points. I am trying to find that or possibly something similar with the car hit points increased (to at least use for cover) and explosion radius of cars tweaked down so its not ridiculously huge like i am getting :|



Or perhaps if some kind person can give me some insight into tweeking this my self in geck that would be fantastic!! :)


Not sure if this should be in a mod request or something as i am asking for a little insight as well. Cheers :p

Haha, I was just wondering the same thing. Been a while since I actually played F3 (2009, I think?) so I completely forgot about the exploding cars. I was doing the wasteland survival guide quest where you are sent to a minefield and soon as I entered the area, I was like "WTF?! Is that sniper shooting nukes at me????!!". I actually thought it was some sort of crazy bug that replaced the type of ammo/weapons NPCs generally use, so I'm pleased to know it was just me being hazy over F3's gameplay.


I won't change the cars health just yet now that I know they're ticking time bombs and cant be used for cover when facing gatling-gun supermutants xD, but I might do later if it becomes too annoying for finding cover. Thanks for the tip anyway!

Honestly I thought it was kind of lame they took the exploding cars out of FNV. First time I approached Mojave Outpost and saw that big line of cars I thought "Oh boy I can't wait to blow THAT up". Then I found out I couldn't and I was :(
