Regarding clouds and battle music.

Post by dodolodo » Wed Jul 31, 2013 3:08 am

So, first of all, kudos to the team for continuing what could very well be the most ambitious mod in the history of video games, and you guys have my thanks for not giving up on it. That said, I wanted to ask some questions regarding some very persistent bugs that I've encountered, in part to see if they're happening only to me, which could be, considering that I didn't start a new game (I'm not about to begin again after like 1000 hours of gameplay), and, in case they're not, to know if they'll be fixed anytime soon.

I remember ever since I first played requiem there was this weird skybox at certain times of the day, usually during the morning, when some of the clouds closer to the surface became deep black, as if it was nighttime, while the ones above would be bright and shiny, like they were supposed to be. This looked awful, but thankfully it was fixed with later patches. It seems the fix carried over to TTW, but now the problem is during nighttime, and its exactly the opposite, the lower clouds look dark and greyish, but the upper ones shine as if struck by sunlight, even though you can see the stars through holes in them. It doesn't look as bad as the old morning clouds bug, but it makes the nighttime wasteland an eyesore to look at, so its quite annoying, and I mostly travel during the day because of it.

The second one would be the battle music; instead of correctly playing the fallout 3 score while fighting in the capital wasteland the game decides to play the NV battle themes. I was surprised when this happened, cause it was fixed in the latest version of RCW. If anyone knows how to fix this I'd be grateful to know, I've heard music is easy to mod in this game so I could even do it myself with a bit of help.

This creates a ton of bugs in the game. Also, the game has been rebuilt several times since RFCW.

Starting a new game was a requirement when we released TTW v2.0 (Sorry but that is how it goes!) the bugs your having are exclusive to you and your save. I will admit that we have the black sky issue in some places and it's being worked on but it's only between 11 am and 1 pm. Mostly seen around the entrance to The Pitt and the radio tower.

Yes TTW still has a few bugs the team knows this and is working on it which is why we are still in Alpha and will be for some time.

A fix for your issues is to suck it up and start a new game. Again Sorry I know it may suck but that's the fix.

Shame, but I'd rather suck up the bugs than start a new game. Thanks anyway.
