I don't see how removing the scope nerf's it into uselessness. It is still a souped up .44 magnum. I removed the scope because we removed the scope from ALL of the .44 magnums because in New Vegas they are now a weapon mod instead of being built into the gun.
I think the best idea for the Blackhawk was to make it use a modified .357 revolver texture (which would make it more like the actual Ruger Blackhawk). I did something like this using FNVEdit in my game (only using the generic .357 model) and I rather like the way it turned out. Perhaps someone could do up one of those that uses a scope as a mod?
I'm going with popular opinion, it should have the scope because the scope was the part that made it unique and useful.
Is it too hard to believe that maybe the intent, once finished, is to buy a scope to put on it? Maybe it just hasn't made it that far yet. If Agatha's going to be putting the scope on for you would you like her to kill Autumn for you too?
Also, maybe instead of a generic scoped .44 being unique could the team possibly give it a unique texture, as is the plan for all FO3 uniques?

lol, Agatha does a Solid Snake and assassinates Autumn.
Pretty sure uniques cant be modded though, so for now it is a restriction without any potential.

The only reason I pulled off the scope is because the default FO3 .44 had a scope and the default FNV .44 did not. So all FO3 .44s had their scopes removed. The blackhawk may get its scope back, it may not. We are not at that point quite yet.
Always hated scoped handguns, and I, for one, am glad to see the scope go. Plus, if Blackhawk in TTW is moddable, then now players that both like AND hate the scope have a choice. I don't see how this is bad in any way, shape or form. Alternatively, install Weapon Mods Expanded and add make it use WMX's mods.
Hi. Sorry for reviving old thread, but is there any way to return the scope back to Blackhawk?
Since this issue might be addressed in the future updates, but unlikely any sooner, I guess the only temporary solution for people wanting the scope back might be make Blackhawk (and maybe other uniques in Fallout 3) moddable. I know there's already a mod for that (Weapon Mods for Fallout 3 Uniques by Four Dyce) but I don't see anywhere in that thread addresing the no-scope problem (only the zooming power problem), thus it doesn't add a scope option for Blackhawk. Unless that problem is one and the same?

Edit: Nvm, Four Dyce's actually returned the scope back. But a warning to those who didn't like the scope, reconsider when you want to use Four Dyce's.
I first started playing TTW long after this thread started. In my game Blackhawk has always come with a scope.
