I also have this bug, all DLC

Post by Cannar » Sun Jul 28, 2013 7:22 am

I also have this bug, all DLC have a short render distance, its not just trrre, or buildings, its all rendering past a short distance is just cut off.  As I walk toward the Pitt, the smock stacks slowly come into view as if a bubble around my charahter is encompassing more of them, it seems to be a new bug with the latest release, a fix would be apreciated,

Seeing as this is a very rare issue, it is highly likely that something on the users end is responsible. As such, there is no "fix". If a true source of the issue can be identified, and if that issue is caused by the installer, then I'm sure chuck and jax will fix it as soon as they can.

extract your lodsettings folder to your data folder

This worked if I extracted the LODsetting files for each individual DLC, which I noticed was not part of TTW main file.  I did two new clean builds, one where I extraced to a seperate folder, then dumped the files into NV folder, and one where I built streight into the NV folder, both times the LOD for the DLC was missing?  But this seems to be rare?

Sorry to update a (somewhat) old thread, but i just wanted to confirm that this worked for my Anchorage. Thanks Jax, and everyone else who helped troubleshoot this odd bug.

If you haven't used FOMM to extract any of the games .bsa archives before, then you won't find it in your NV install directory.

If you do use FOMM, however I believe the LODSettings are stored in the 'Fallout - Misc.bsa' and are located in 'data\lodsettings.' Each is named according to the worldspace for which they were generated.
