Problem with Pipboy

So im playing TTW with the NVEC - PN Patch made by Nachel, with no real problems except that the Fallout 3 DLC often course CTD, but my main concern is that Ive been playing Fallout for quite some times until i decided to go to New Vegas. when i awoke i didn't have a pipboy and was never given one, when i try to access my pipboy my arm comes up and the area lights up along with the sound of a pipboy, but all i can see is the arm and no pipboy, ive tired to get a pipboy with console Command but it doesn't work. any advice would be great. I read on the forms that going to New Vegas with out using the train can course problems, I was using a home mod that let me uses an item which transported me to a interior cell in Goodsprings, but i reloaded a previous save before i went to the house and  the same thing happened.

Do not post exactly the same issue twice.


EDIT: Bleh, whatever. This is what I have that could be considered constructive.


Your load order is comparatively short, which is good. When you say you don't receive your pipboy, does this mean you listen to doc mitchel till you go to leave his house and he doesn't give you one, or that his conversation doesn't happen or you didn't bother to go through the normal NV intro bit like you would in any normal NV game to get your pipboy?

Thanks for relying. ok what happens is that doc Mitchell asks me what i look like, then asks me to use the vigor tester, which doesn't work which is by TTW design i gather, he then asks me to sit down, instead of all the questions he goes though the dialog of giving back my stuff twice giving me Vegas stuff first then my fallout 3 stuff, i go to use my pipboy i can see my arm but its as though my pipboy is invisible i can see the light it gives off and the sound. Ive been trying to get it to work over the last few hrs, at one point i disabled one mod to see if it was the cause of the problem, i loaded a game just outside vault 101, tgm and ran to the station, it worked that time i was given a different looking tablet then before to confirm what i looked like, and after i used the viger tester doc just said ill walk you out skipping the sit down dialog which i think is meant to happen, and my pipboy did work. think i had fixed it i quit and start a whole new game with the same mod disabled, however the same problem of not geting a pipboy happend

ok so after many tries, i managed to get it working right, for those having this problem this is what i did although it doesn't seem like it should work, but if you let the New Vegas into movie play out there doesn't seem to be a problem, its also possible that there was a mod conflict as i did disable all my mods, however the first time it worked i had my mods active and i let the into play out and it worked, so who knows, anyway going to reactivate those mods now wile Im in doc Mitchell house, and see what happens

You say there that he asks you to sit down? I am sure that bit was skipped in TTW and after the vigor-matic machine he just says he will walk you to the door (even though he goes the long way cheeky ).

Yeah if he asked you to sit down then you are/were running a mod that messed with the start quest and therefore conflicts with TTW.

I have the same problem, but I've used the same mods I always used and i'nver never come across this problem before. I'll try loading from different points along my game.


I've disabled all my plugins before and after the main quest and I still get the issue.


EDIT:


I've sort of fixedthe problem by disabling all plugins and then going to the train station and going through the cutscene and doc talking to me. It fixed the going to the couch issue, but he still doesn't give the pipboy and I end up with no ability to open up the player menu to equip or do anything with the tab key.


I had to equip the pipboy through the console and that fixed the problem, kinda.

You can try adding the pipboy manually.


This is seeming less and less like a patch solution and more like a warez distro fix.
