I start at Doc Mitchell's house

Hi


I discovered this mod recently and tried to get it installed right away.  After a few tries, the installer got everything installed.  Then I adjusted the load order and launched it (using the 4gb launcher with NVSE).  Unfortunately, when I started a new game, I started at Doc Mitchell's house instead of vault 101.  If anyone has any suggestions about how to fix this, that would be very helpful.

Did you accidentally activate the TTW_NewVegasStart.esp? It is an optional file that allows you to start in NV, in future updates this will be integrated into TTW with a popup menu to choose where you want to begin when you start a new game.

No, I'm not sure why, but that esp is not even in my load order or data folder.

Couple of questions, have you tried disabling all of those mods and starting a new game? And did you install over a modded New Vegas directory? Or did you use a clean install.


TTW is still in alpha. Starting a new game and adding tons of mods causes a lot of problems.


If you do get this New Vegas start sorted out, disable ALL mods until you've reached Megaton.

Hey man, thanks.  I disabled most of my mods, (excluding project nevada and perk mods) and i got the TTW start.  I'll start adding mods in to try and find the conflict.

Well I found the problem, for some reason Colossus Enclave - Lienas Squad Armour (http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/39804/?) was causing the problem.  Thanks for the help.

I would think CAGE was the culprit, but alas I do not know enough about it to make an educated guess. A question though (not related to your issues), does the ttw-wmx patch for antistars version have the same name as the one for the recent Unified version?

according to your txt file, you've got 161 active esm/esp's, so you may be running into the magical mystical mod limit.   you know, the one where FNV starts getting real screwy/crashy when there are too many mods loaded.  the actual number seems to vary from computer to computer, but most people seem to agree that it's somewhere around 150-160. once you hit the magic number for your computer, just about any mod you add will make your game crash or act weird. you should really look into merging/consolidating some of your mods.


one bit of help i can offer is for [url=http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35979//?]Dree's More Perks[/url]. there is a merged version available on the [url=http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/44204/?tab=2&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D44204&pUp=1]NVEC - New Vegas Enhanced Content[/url] dl page. their merger replaces 12 of the More Perks/More Traits esm's/esp's with one single More Perks.esm


also, [url=http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/39651/?tab=2&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D39651&pUp=1]Weapon Mods Expanded - WMX[/url] now has a merged WMXUE (Ultimate Edition) version, which will reduce your load order some more
