Current State of Things - It is worth it?

Post by vraiment » Fri May 03, 2013 12:34 am

So, I've been playing FNV for kind of a year, and I really liked it, then I found mods and the game became twice as amazing, now you are telling me I can still double the fun?

I want to ask, what is the state of the things with TTW? What works and what doesn't work? Is it worth it to buy FO3 to play it all together with FNV? How are the main quests integrated, first you play FO3 and then FNV with your same character?

I'm very tempted to try this...

Yep.  It works and it is totally worth it.  Start adding in mods from both FO3 and FNV and it is a whole new game!

Vanilla NV or Fallout 3 aren't exactly bug-free.

I've got a 40 hour profile with TTW, running all of my favorite mods for NV. Most have had very positive experiences with the current build. Just finished The Pitt DLC with no problems. Haven't run into anything game-breaking.

Search through the bug-tracker if you're curious about specific problems. Most of these have temporary fixes.

Running TTW is just like activating any other mod. So if you end up not liking it, disable it and profit.

TTW kicks seroius Butt, hands

Post by gamefever » Fri May 03, 2013 7:29 pm

TTW kicks seroius Butt, hands down best mod out there for content.  F03 is really more stable for me any way when I run with TTW and mods.

With TTW I get all of the gameplay content that came standard with FNV that was seroiusly lacking in F03 w/o mods.  Plus as you get more familair with modding it gets easier to carry a hefty load order that works however be warned like any modded game a lot of that takes practice tweaking and merging mods so experience can matter, but it's certainly enjoyable not just playable.

Or do like I did and get a friend who has the GOTY ox and just install it..Ahh DRM free gaming, just like the good ol days.

...are you kidding me? Just because you didn't download it off the internet doesn't change the fact that what you just admitted to was pirating the game. This is something we frown upon. Banned.

I was talking about discount season in steam, and by the way I just bought FO3, I guess I'll end my current FNV run and start a new one with TTW laugh

Well if you never played

Well if you never played Fallout 3 than prepare for a great experience! There are still a few minor bugs present on the Fallout 3 side, but everything that was in the original Fallout 3 game is present in TTW (and than some laugh). Not to mention TTW makes my game about 20% more stable, making it a MUST HAVE mod. Oh and don't worry, you can go back to either wasteland without any difficulties.

Enjoy the mod
