Hey guys, I've been keeping track of a few minor issues and bugs in the game while playing. I'm not sure how many of them (if any) required me to submit a bug report or are just issues with new vegas itself (though I'm sure many of these are known already), so I'm just gonna compile them here, along with a few other issues. I'll try to keep things organized:
Missing Textures:
Here are some of the images for missing textures, I've unfortunately forgotten where I took some of these, but hopefully the image will help?
Hall of Columns (Capitol Building, several missing textures in this room)
Not Sure about these two: One Two
Weird Bug in Paradise Falls:
Basically, the doors to the barracks and one other building in Paradise falls don't work, and instead have this weird mini model door next to them (which does work!).
Rivet City Shop Keepers Acting Weird:
Every time I approach Rivet city, I'll find a few (the numbers vary) of the shopkeepers clumped up in an area like THIS. They'll talk to eachother, but won't move away from the spot regardless of the time of the day. I've tried enable/disable, kill/resurrect, etc. but it won't work. The only thing I've found that does work is to stand right by the door to the market, select the NPCs, and use "moveto player" command. If they're close enough to the door they'll go inside and resume normal duties on their own. But this is a temporary fix at best, as the next time I approach the city we'll have the same issue.
The "What do you need" line:
Doesn't work. Whenever an NPC (any NPC) tries to tell me that line when I initiate conversation, they won't actually say it (their lips won't move either). All I'll see is the text and that's it. It's not a major issue but kind of annoying, and I'm pretty sure I didn't have this problem before TTW.
Sentry Bots not working:
Yea, they move a little bit, but don't initiate combat at all. Though I understand you guys are already aware of this and are working on it.
Voice Filter Issues:
Essentially, voice alterations (such as when a person is speaking through a mask or speaker) are problematic. They either sound off and will occasionally crack when the person is wearing a power helmet, or just won't work at all when I'm talking to them through a speaker (like the ones on project purity or the one outside Tenpenny Tower).
3 other small bugs:
-
Outcast Power Armor is labeled as Light armor -
Yes, the rock-it launcher is still broken (though I'm guessing people already knew that). -
Enclave Hell-Fire troops don't actually wear Hellfire armor (at least not that I've seen). I'm seeing Hellfire troops before Broken Steele starts and they're all wearing Tesla armor. (Not entirely sure if this is a bug)
Other Comments:
-
There is WAY too much garbage (empty bottles, tin cans, etc.) in the Metro stations between DC and NV. It's one thing to give an area a destroyed look and have garbage around, but these places look like they collided with a recycling factory. It's excessive. -
^Having said that, the little living spaces you've added to the Metro in NV are really cool. Have you considered adding NPCs to them? -
Small request: Can you make the little mini protectron toys an actual object that can be picked up? I like those things. -
For the Fight the Power perk, I'm thinking the Enclave (and also the outcasts I suppose) should definitely be added as factions that get a damage bonus against them. -
I brought this up before, but have you guys considered integrating T51b troops into the DC brotherhood like their Nevada counterparts? Since the T51b is no longer the "end game" armor in DC it would make sense. -
^Following off of the above point, since the T51b is no longer the strongest armor (and is pretty common), have you considered making any changes to the "You gotta shoot 'em in the head" quest? Maybe replace the ordinary T51b with an altered version or a different armor all together? (Like a Vault-Tech one or something)
Well that's all I have for now. Apologies for the long read.
Cheers
