Hello everyone! I was here several months ago, and was most disappointed when my every attempt to use the Fallout 3 port turned into what I can only describe as an epic fail. Only, it was frustrating for me and a lot of you, who's help I dearly appreciate. Now, I have enough Christmas money set aside I COULD buy the Steam version of Fallout 3 GOTY (I have the disk version, and this was probably the cause of the epic failure). But I have questions. Mostly about stability as for whatever reason, a fully tricked out New Vegas is MUCH more stable than Fallout 3. I've lost a lot of progress from saves that crash as soon as I sneeze. Purrforme from the Nexus site, god bless her, said it's probably due to corrupted saves due to overuse of the standard F5 quicksave.
So, for this thread, if I buy the Steam version of Fallout 3 GOTY, is there any reason why it wouldn't work? Assuming correctly I'm not having any real problems with my tricked New Vegas?
Can I assume that any mods that work for NV will work fine in TTW? Or is there a methodology to asses that risk? NVEC and Project Nevada are the big ones.
Can mods from Fallout 3 generally be converted over using FO3 edit and changing the root directory?
And finally, what is the most stable configuration of TTW? Just a link to another thread if it exists will do.
And thank you for your time.
