New Too, mostly

Post by ElectricMessiah » Sat Nov 10, 2012 11:29 pm

Hello all.

Back before I gave up on FNV, mostly due to Noob Modding Syndrom, I messed with Requiem a bit.

With this last Steam sale, I bought FNV GotY edition and actually learned how to be a far less dangerous mod user.  I've had it fired up for about a week now.  Having a 'basic' running understanding of BOSS, FNV Edit, NVSE, 4GB LAA, Stutter Remover, Nexus Mod Manage and Workshop (Did I forget to mention one?? Whew!), The first mod I looked up was Requiem on Nexus... dead end.

Just learned a couple days ago about this site/venture and am glad to see it!

In turn, I today repurchased F3 GotY addition for $20 soley due to this project being alive.  Yeah, that is a big Kudos and Thank You, to the project staff.  Specially considering I already own F3 (no DLC) via Windows Live... ain't going to swallow that hairball ever again.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to firing up F3 and ToTW.  Lets hope F3 plays nice with Win7x64...

If not, it may get the virtually shelved real quick.  Only 1/2 d/l now, but I'm guessing it will take me a day or two of modding tutorials, FOSE, BOSS, WinXPs3 and God Knows what else to get it running... lol.

If anyone knows a good 'one stop shop' for getting F3 running smoothly on Win7x64, please toss me a link.  I plan on starting with Gopher's gaming links on YouTube.

Cheers.

I had to use a D3D9.dll fix to get FO3 to work for me. Look that up if you get the crash on new game problem.
