Agreed. When I make my "Companions to DLC areas" mods, I always disallow them in areas where it would interrupt the story, which accounts for pretty much all of them. The exceptions for me are Point Lookout and Honest Hearts. I can't imagine why you wouldn't be able to buy another ticket for your followers on the Duchess Gambit, and I also don't understand why the Happy Trails caravan wouldn't welcome another gun on a dangerous trek through the wasteland.
One exception... for Lonesome Road, I allow Dogmeat. I like Dogmeat, and having him along doesn't detract from the "Lonesome" aspect of Lonesome Road.
And yeah, I allow followers into areas after they have been initially visited and the player can return such as the Pitt and Big MT.
