I just finished doing a basic install of TTW yesterday and played through the first three quests for Moira without a hitch. Great job to everyone involved! Thanks for putting in the effort to get this as good as it is.


Now to start adding in all the little "extras", like street lights and player homes and custom weapons. I'll have to make some conversions of my own mods, now. The ones I have posted over at the nexus I have full permission to post where required, so it shouldn't be any problem with posting a TTW version here.

Posting your own mods converted is encouraged. Try to host them on google drive to keep our site traffic down, or you can upload them to nexus if they don't have any assets from F3 in them.

Thanks for the kind welcome, everyone. I've been adding mods to my base game, and things seem to be going fine. So far, the only problem I've run into is that converting a mod with armor doesn't allow me to set the DT - it still shows the normal FO3 AR field instead of the FNV fields with DT. If I add a new armo entry, that has the proper fields, but existing armo entries don't.


EDIT: Found the issue - I need to make sure the header version is right (knew that), open it in GECK and view any armor record (didn't know that one), then run the script found here: https://taleoftwowastelands.com/comment/18266#comment-18266

I made a video on simple conversions, check it out.


Basically you need to open the converted plugin in GECK and save it again. If you have NPC's in your plugin make sure to back it up and compare it afterwards to make sure GECK didn't change any race, class or stats sub records, it likes to do that.


It also adds some wild edits like the pitt and freeside to the worldspace class.

Thanks again. I'll watch it. I'm rather familiar with modding on stock FO3 and FNV, but not TTW. It's mostly NV, but with a few other rules tossed in.
