TTW Crash after G.O.A.T., please help.

Post by Bio-Devil » Thu Aug 04, 2016 12:15 am

Hi, I've recently installed TTW on my computer and I've been trying to play it but every time I try it crashes in the middle of the time skip after the GOAT. I've checked to make sure none of the other mods I've installed are causing the problem, my load order is;

  • FalloutNV

  • DeadMoney

  • Honest Hearts

  • OldWorldBlues

  • LonesomeRoad

  • GunRunnersArsenal

  • CaravanPack

  • ClassicPack

  • MercenaryPack

  • TribalPack

  • Fallout3

  • Anchorage

  • ThePitt

  • BrokenSteel

  • PointLookout

  • Zeta

  • TalesOfTwoWastelands

I'm using the most recent version of TTW and I've checked o make sure I have the most recent versions of Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I'm not sure if the bug is because of the game or if I'm doing something wrong but any help would be appreciated.

Also something I feel I should mention, when checking to see if Fallout 3 needed to be updated I got a message that said "This app may not work properly, Fallout 3 isn't compatible with this version of windows. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with, though I really hope it doesn't because if it is then I don't think I can do anything about it.

Final note, this is my first time posting on a forum for help on this site, I apologize in advance for anything I may have done wrong while posting this, I just really enjoy this mod and would like help with it.

If you are using windows 10, download and install the directx runtimes from microsoft. They are not included in the OS, and if you just moved your installation of New Vegas or upgraded they aren't installed.

If you have a codec pack installed, remove the "bink" video codec from it. In fact codec packs are mostly junk and should be uninstalled.

If you are using Intel graphics, buy a video card. The drivers for intel chips don't support DirectX 9 very well.
