Well i'v been using a Logitec G13 keypad (Cheap and easy setup) and a thumball mouse forever as it helped to move to pc from console. The new keypad would be for the lappy at work so I dont have to bring it back and forth is all.

I use an older Razer game mouse and a Nostromo n52 speedpad. They're great together for Bethesda games - I've made profiles for all the games so they use the same layout, making it easier to switch between the games.

Ha, that's funny as I do the same. Trying to keep the same layout is great for switching between all the games.

Yep. Same movement keys, same hotkeys, same activate key, same walk/run key, same sprint key (using mods for sprinting in older games), same holster/reload key, etc. I use the same key for cast magic in Oblivion, VATS for Fallout 3/NV, and shout for Skyrim. They're all special attacks, so it was fairly obvious to map the same... in my own opinion, of course. So I have three map profiles for the n52 - Oblivion, Fallout, and Skyrim. The launch game is bound to the script extender loader each different game.

After the move to pc I have totally forgotten about VATS, except when I would like a perk that is bound to VATS, that bums me out occasionally.

I think I remember some mods that change the VATS only perks into non VATS version, or that add also bonuses for when they are used outside VATS.

I don't use mods. so I don't really know the name of those mods or if they even work properly.
