STEP Guide and Mods not listed

Post by eslehto » Fri Mar 18, 2016 3:49 am

So I've found the S.T.E.P guild on STEP guide for those playing TTW. For three month I"ve been trying to mod my game  to have better UI, Graphic and new weapons, My biggest problem is I'm not using one profile based on some quest and introduction text not matching.

JIP companion and control does interrupt the Start Menu optional with it's pop-up.

Does TTW support, Active Wasteland, Alternitive Repairing, And many more I've found via Gophers Let's play videos?

The S.T.E.P. forum is basically the same mods as fallout 3 and Fallout NV S.T.E.P ones.

My computer is basically on 1.5g video memory and 4g ram, since the Windows 10 is taking most of it, it's more like 3.45g of ram. Black texture in Long Distance, Face bug keeps happening my game. I'm going to try using the STEP ini.tweaks to see if they will work better.

There is so many mods out there and STEP does list half of them. Is this their personal play list or just trying to help us understand how to work with the mods. I've tried both Hall of Equipment and they are good, but Wasteland Clothing is better. Also, I'm using Mod Organzier 1.3.11 not 1.3.8.

Also what is the script file in NVSE he's talking about.

@Roybotty, What's the profile thing mention in my Thread about Black Textures with 4 gigbyte launcher?

I haven't updated the guide

  1. I haven't updated the guide in awhile and certain things have changed, like Darthbaman's and Mono's mod updates. Additionally merge patch/ bashed patch is left to the user without detailed explanation of conflict resolution

  2. I haven't added all the nice UI mods.

  3. I have multiple textures because they only partially overlap. Wasteland clothing is obviously better and therefore loaded later.

  4. 1.5GB VRAM is not sufficient to run with max options of everything in the guide. 4GB RAM is also limiting for both OS and the game.

  5. It is my personal guide with input from various parties over at STEP and here. There is only one official STEP guide and that us the skyrim one. All other ones are STEP hosted user guides from the same community.

  6. It is mostly fixes, cut content, QoL, and textures changes along with PN. Staying this "minimal" still produced such a long list. There are many other mods not yet included such as AWOP, WMX.

EDIT: Removed link

1. The S.T.E.P guild are

1. The S.T.E.P guild are great help to all people, I'm not saying you're guild is complete. However each one of TTW guild look the same as each other. As though you copy and pasted the mods from Fo3 and FNV. Of Course Merage Patch are up to us, MO allow us to play the game in a story mode, not just put mods together in one go from beginning to end. That's why I like it.

2. I notice you didn't add alot of UI, I like Darnified UI for NV because it's nice to look at, However, through videos, UIO install before the other UI elimate the need to do Fonts in Darn UI.

3. Actually Hall of Equipment, wasn't working for both, It was hogging memory and lagging the system, Wasteland Clothing is better. Because MO isn't like NMM and FOMM, the texture don't really overlap each other, just the one which is lower wins the others. You can turn off mods in MO, where you have deactivate them in NMM and FOMM.

4. Window 10 is bad OS with a video card with less ram, so was Window 8. I don't have Window 7 nor want it. I'm basically stuck with want I've got, 4g ram and 2 vram, OS taking alot. I found out ILO works fine with New Vegas alone, but it was hogging memory with TTW patch which I don't know what that did.

5. So, basically the steps community personal perference is same mods. There are many others that Gopher feature in his Let's play which seems very good, NV Bounties III, Russell, and the Inheridance, My first mod downloaded was DS Sohomi Clean Pipboy and Color maps, :( too bad it can't be update though. The other one is Active wasteland which bring to life the coffee maker, and lamps and other ones. I tried using Armour Repair kits, Ammo as loot. Many mods aren't on S.T.E.P. list which are good mods. Also Mobile Truck Base.

6. I hope to find a list of new mods aside the SRBs and Kalmyach list to help understand can be used with TTW. I'm afraid I haven't found much more than those. Also TTWOverenchambered guild is confusing me in NVSE. (There is no data folder with scripts like Skyrim.)

Not saying you guys are working hard on these guilds, however, If I made a guild for TTW, I wouldn't just put perferences and what I like, I would try to bring a new varity to make the experience worthwhile, my question was asking how much mods do work with TTW?  I have been testing these mods, some I found in converted list, but many more are missing and I need to know.

Slight confusion on my part

Post by Adonis VII » Fri Mar 18, 2016 11:08 pm

Slight confusion on my part (for anyone else reading).  Eslehto was referring to TTW Over Encumbered Edition http://wiki.step-project.com/User:Themagicteeth/TTWOverEncumbered and not Worlds of Tomorrow (mine) http://wiki.step-project.com/User:Adonis_VII/TTW so some of the comments from the previous post don't apply as I don't maintain or follow the previous guide.
