Did you guys block us from using the Operation Anchorage Gary exploit, or did I just not position the corpse correctly in the sim pod?


I really want to have a crapton of ammo and a pile of indestructible weapons to murderize the Capital and Mojave Wastelands with.

The Gary exploit had to be removed because it breaks TTW.

That crash has been fixed at the code level, the Gary exploit will be possible again in 3.0. However, since it's a bug I may disable it, but someone could easily re-enable it.

Broken in what way? Free ammo and indestructible armor/weps? Or does it cause things to crash?

Bummer. I really loved wandering the CW with my indestructible Akmatic and Combat Shotty (and a couple thousand rounds I conned the ammo machines into giving me) to burgerize any Enclave fool who was suicidal enough to get in my way. Guess I'll have to resort to using console commands to add them, saving, and restarting the program.


Definitely looking forward to v3.0 since that'll just cement OA as the surefire way to get excellent gear quickly. If Bethesda didn't intend for OA to be this, why did they leave the Gary Exploit unpatched?

Because Bethesda moved on to pre-production on Skyrim, they aren't exactly known for fixing every little bug in their games.

" If Bethesda didn't intend for OA to be this, why did they leave the Gary Exploit unpatched?" I am sorry, but your logic is majorly flawed. There have been bugs in games, and other software, since the dawn of computer technology. Just because something happens, does not mean it was intentional. 


The simulator is virtual-reality in the game's lore, it is as real in Fallout as Fallout is in our world, and taking guns out of it makes as much sense as me pulling guns out of my computer monitor. The fact that you have to use a dead -person to do it makes even less sense. It was not a situation the developers predicted and planned for.
