Why not give the higher level regulators a recolored version of the Ranger combat armor, but with M.P.D.C. written on it instead of L.A.P.D. implying that it was dc police riot armor.
Should regulators have more consistent gear with talon mercs?

The dialogue only happens the first time the player meet a hit squad, then it shouldn't happen again. ![]()

What is so annoying about it? The dialogue only happens once. And it isnt even that long. Doesnt sound like something worth complaining about, honestly.

Can only answer for me but I don't like obviously scripted events and in some cases you can actually see them spawn in front of you after exiting an interior. Also, they always turn up in the same places so it grows old pretty fast as well. I also think it's annoying with the Megaton citizens approaching the char like every time you enter the city if having good karma so it's the ground hog day aspect as well.
Regarding the Talon attacks, I made a mod once that turned them off after having killed Commander Jabsco. Not sure what happened to it. Might try to redo it.

I agree about the Megaton
I agree about the Megaton citizens. It is like the Kings who trundle up and interrupt you every time you enter Freeside to give you some iguana bits. Fortunately, there is a mod which I have which stops them from doing that altogether. I wish there was such a mod for Megaton. I opened the Kings mod in the GECK to try to figure out how the mod maker did that but was unable to figure it out. As to the Talon company and Hitmen, I know it is only supposed to happen one time, but due to a bug I found with a search, it was happening every time they spawned in their predictable places with one of my characters.

There is a mod that does something like that.Or at least stops them from running up to you and just leaves the items in a box.

I found that mod and think I will convert it. Thanks. Just another Bethesda annoyance to fix. I hope the annoyance fixers will be geared up for FO4.

Same here. The exact same dialog every. single. time. And when you consider how often you run into these guys it can get annoying as hell after a while.

If you are getting trash talk
If you are getting trash talk every single time you encounter the Talon Company, then you are probably experiencing the same bug I was with one of my characters that caused me to make an earlier post about it. Doing some internet "research" I found that if you avoid the first encounter you are supposed to have with them, say when you exit the Tepid Sewers, or when you arrive at Anchorage Memorial to investigate Mirelurks, they will confront you with trash talk in subsequent locations where they always spawn, like outside of Lucky's or near the Anacostia terminal entrance. In that situation, their "trash talk" is just "talk"-they are not hostile. With that character, I killed them anyway but it was impossible to do it fast enough not to be interrupted by their talk.
