Super Mutant Rebalance?

Post by Arkngt » Fri Jul 03, 2015 9:34 am

I play New Vegas so seldom that I can't even remember how the Super Mutants are in it. If I understand it correctly, they are much tougher than the ones in DC and without using the Super Mutant Rebalance, the DC Super Mutant will be as the ones in Mojave, i.e. much tougher. In short, the Super Mutant Rebalance makes it so DC Super Mutants are as in the vanilla game, but doesn't touch the Mojave Muties (so they are as in vanillla as well)?

The reason I ask is that I kind of like the tougher Super Mutants in DC. Doing Museum of Technology at Lvl 8 was quite a challenge - by far the toughest time I've had with it (and it is rather tough with FWE/MMM in FO3 as well).

In short: without Super Mutant Rebalance, the DC Super Mutants are as tough as the Mojave ones, right? Which mostly seems to mean higher DT?

Yes exactly, the "Super Mutant Rebalance" optional should imho have the nickname of: The "Playful Puppies" Mutants. (To take a phrase from Tobar.) Making SM's Vegas tough is the best part of TTW imho, in vanilla FO3 there was nothing "super" about the mutants, and it seemed like they died to a still breeze.

Well, with tougher I mean, well, tougher:

adj. tough·er, tough·est 1. Able to withstand great strain without tearing or breaking; strong and resilient: a tough all-weather fabric.

And thanks AnvilOfWar!

I personally like the SM to be a threat so I don't use the rebalance myself. I felt that the Vanilla were too squishy. I can still one shot with the Lincoln repeater on a stealth critical though.

I turn off bleed through as well. So they are literally impervious to some firearms...Which I think they should be. They're still to easy as I play a sneaky hunter and snipe from afar. But it's better than what it was, and getting caught off guard is really fun
