TTW Hotfixes?

Why are they not merged with the main TTW download? It would save a step and be one less thing to update. I was roaming the forum and found this. https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/ttw-fixes-222-official-bugfix-pack-ttw


A bugfix pack is great. Again I am confused as to why it is separate from the main TTW download. Can they be merged into a single esm? Theoretically everyone would need those fixes. Maybe one of the team members can explain that to me?

Personally, I prefer a hotfix file that is updated periodically rather than trying to update the main package. It's much smaller, for one thing. If there's anything that bugs me more, it's having to download a 400MB file everytime someone changes one byte. It's not like everyone has gigabit connections, after all. Where I live, the best we can get is a 5M connection that I share with two other people.

TTW Fixes is different from Hotfixes.


TTW Fixes is a compilation of bug fixes mods for vanilla FO3 and FNV (including DLCs for both games) while Hotfixes are fixes for TTW (as in, TTW will add bugs not found on either game and the hotfixes are to fix those).


The hotfixes are temporary files that will be merged into the next version of TTW, so makes no sense to have them in base TTW and also in a vanilla bug fix mod smiley.


Also TTW Fixes will be deprecated once the next version of TTW comes out (3.0 and any other that comes out after that) because we will be fixing FO3 and it's DLCs bugs directly in TTW. And it will also be compatible with YUP (we will have a patch for it if I recall correctly) to address FNV bugs. yes

This is correct, Me and Roy worked together for the 3.0 patch for YUP, Im still updating it from time to time (work is killing me) but it should be out a little time after 3.0 comes out (or even when 3.0 comes out). For the record as well,  UUF3P wont be required either because it is being incorporated into TTW :)

Well UUF3P isn't being incorporated, I am doing all the bug fixes myself from scratch. There is already many many more than UF3P has, and many from UF3P have not been addressed yet. Also many things from UF3P belong more in a cut content optional for me, and such things will be in that optional.

He wasn't looking for the incremental updates I don't believe. This page was for the old, outdated fixes mod for 2.9, which is the reason they are no longer available.
Produces the programming equivalent of coffee stains.
