Is TTW supposed to reduce enemy health?

Have something to say about Tale of Two Wastelands or have an idea for a new feature? Let us know here.

Is TTW supposed to reduce enemy health?

Post by ersa321 » Sun Mar 22, 2015 10:29 am

Not really sure were to post this, but something appears to have reduced some enemies in the Capitol Wasteland.

Here are a few examples of some enemies health using the Living Anatomy perk:

  • Deathclaw 500

  • Yoa Guai 150

  • Giant Radscorpion 150

  • Radscopion 75

  • Protectron 45

  • Robobrain 125

  • Mister Gutsy 75 wasteland spawn (the faction based ones have a health of 150)

  • Sentry Bot 300

I don't know what their health values were before or what the health values are supposed to be in TTW, I also haven't spent much time in the Mojave so I don't know if enemy health there has changed.

I have added my load order if anyone asks.

probably.  DT system means high-hp enemies are a real pita to fight, so the nv versions likely had their stats reduced.

perms:  either a full fireworks display spelling out "Puppettron Made This" anytime a user accesses my content in-game, or just give me credit somewhere.

The Yao Guai's in the Capitol

Post by ersa321 » Mon Mar 23, 2015 9:28 am

The Yao Guai's in the Capitol Wasteland in TTW have defiantly had their health reduced, the Honest Hearts Yao Guai had a health bar between 215 and 300. The FO3 Yao Guai had a health bar of 200, with the TTW replacement having hp of 150 and none of them have DT.

Yao Guai health is 125, same as Honest Hearts exactly.

All other creatures have DT so the health offset was calculated carefully.

I got the health figures for the Yao Guai from the fallout wiki and the Living Anatomy Perk says the Capitol Wasteland Yao Guai in TTW has a health of 150.

HP of enemies depend on the character level IIRC.

I checked the Geck and I'm wondering of the three different leveled Yao Guai (levels 12, 18 and 22), why did you import the weakest into TTW (the level 12 with 125 hp, you are correct on that part). When the level 18 Yao Gaui is almost identical to the original FO3 one, albeit having it's health and melee damage reduced by 5.

Also the one imported to the Capitol Wasteland is weaker then the highest level Yao Guai Cub, the Cub has 145 health and has an attack damage of 60 (the one imported has 125 health and has an attack damage of 40, also 2 levels lower)

They occupy the same record.

They occupy the same record. It is part of the design decisions not to alter New Vegas or its DLC if it at all can be avoided.

New Yao Guai of course can be made to have the original DC'ish stats. However the accusatory tone isn't exactly the best approach to address such issues...
