Repellant Stick works on Giant Rats...bug or intentional?

I had a talk with some guys in the chat. As I found out, mole rats and giant rats share the same faction in FO:NV, thus the repellant stick will blow off the heads of giant rats as well (and also count towards the quest Wasteland Survival Guide). Is this something that would be considered a bug, or should it be left in somehow? I mean, you'd have to travel all the way to New Vegas in order to get them to count (unless you're using chucksteel's mod, which is how I found this "bug" in the first place)

uhhhhh... well it's accidental but I'm actually okay with that. It is no longer a bug, now it's a feature.
