Feedback on the getting to the train in DC side

Post by Jezz_X » Sun Feb 22, 2015 9:19 am

All in all It was a nice trip and worked well the only real issue I have with it was the Texture used on some of the doors to get to the breaker switches and the generator before you enter the metro.  Basically they were using the same old broken glass texture that the rest of the wall was and I had no idea it was a door.

This might have been because I use the Immersive hud mod and have the compass turned off so I don't see the quest markers but for the life of me I couldn't find them in the rest of the wall I had to turn the compass back on and basically follow the pointer to the exact spots of the stair doors.

Still its a small complaint but worth mentioning I think other than that it was done really well

I have two questions for you

I have two questions for you (first of all, thanks for your feedback):

  1. Are you using texture replacers, and if so which ones?

  2. Would it be possible for you to take a screenshot of these doors and share it here?

I know for a fact that NMC's pack changes the UV space of the texture used for the doors in Union Station which makes them look retarded.

Yeah I'm using a combined NMC

Yeah I'm using a combined NMC texture pack of fallout 3 and NV so that may well be it.
As for a screenshot not sure a have a save in that location so have a look since I haven't gotten to new vegas yet to travel back

Ok so after a little

Ok so after a little investigation I think this was a non issue and caused by a combination of mods I use.

1) nmc's textures that made it look like broken glass

2) Realistic wasteland lighting that made it all really dark (was at night time)

3) Immersive hud hiding the pointers

I reloaded an old save waited until it was day time and they were actually pretty easy to spot
