Scout Handbook retexture?

Post by Arkngt » Thu Jul 30, 2015 9:43 pm

It's nice that TTW adds a skill book for survival, but the texture is very lowres. Perhaps you could use the one that is in Risewild's Reading is Learning Project instead? (I tried switching to it, but it seems to be made for a different mesh.)

Yep the one on my book mod is the original texture, but since it was too big to fit with the rest of skillbook textures Jax shrink it, I also make it to be a reskin of the Wasteland Survival Guide (which has both front and back covers) but it was also changed to be like all the other skillbooks smiley.

Wouldn't make sense that one book is so much higher resolution and has a back cover when all the other ones don't.

Your best chance is to try and fit the texture from my mod (you will need to change the mesh of the Scout Handbook to the Wasteland Survival Guide and then apply my texture to it), or change my texture to only have a front cover and apply it to the Scout Handbook and make a mini mod for yourself. wink

Ok, I'll try that, thanks!

In all honesty, though, the texture that comes with TTW looks really bad IMO, so I'd recommend to up the resolution a a bit - it's very jagged, even compared to vanilla F3 book skill textures.
