Shadow Errors and how to avoid them on higher end pc units

Post by Itauske » Fri Nov 07, 2014 4:26 pm

Hello everyone been a while since I posted anything but I thought it would be a good idea to post this recent experience relating to Fallout new Vegas and how such a thing can be avoided.

For one I suggest avoiding this ini tweaks mod unless you're running it on a lower end pc without shadows.

On a high end pc you get quite possibly the most horrifying immersion breaking experience of giant shadow 'squares' where the npc (and regular prop models) should have a regular shadow. It's really quite jarring and if you're not fluent in the settings listed in the ini files you'll have a tendency to break your graphics further. So my word of warning is if you want to have a good experience graphics wise don't use someone else's tweaks unless they know what they're doing.
