Cross-Content Suggestion: Roughin' it! bedroll kit, in DC areas?

Post by AnvilOfWar » Fri May 08, 2015 5:33 am

I do realize that the TTW Team likely has a laundry list of things to do already.

As a request can the team consider, for sometime in the future, adding the Lonesome Road "Roughin' it! bedroll kit" to a few of the DC campgrounds/drive in movie theaters/wrecked RV's? The DC area has many small campsites, outdoor drive-in's with a few with campground like picnic areas. Several spots you'd think that someone might have brought a sleeping bag too. Just an observation I noticed while trekking across the wastes. It would be a nice thing to get for a "survivalist" type playthough, without having to march across the country and go to LR to obtain. Just a thought. :)

pretty easy to mod, actually, you want a hand?

perms:  either a full fireworks display spelling out "Puppettron Made This" anytime a user accesses my content in-game, or just give me credit somewhere.

Not sure if should be a standard TTW feature. Useable Beds aren't that hard to find in the CW. Actually my feel is that Mohave has less. Lonesome Road is a DLC meant for the endgame...

the bedroll's largely useless at end-game though.  well, i find it largely useless throughout the game, but i don't trudge through the wasteland and not fasttravel and do all that survival stuff

One of my first mods was portable stuff too. Still the question stays if it isn't feature creep. Looking for a useable bed is intended planned gameplay for NV & FO3.

... In order to sleep on the go in hardcore mode I have to get through DC, then NV, then Lonesome Road?

What about those who do hardcore / survivalist playthroughs? Any advice?

I think it would be neat to be able to get a portable bedroll from say Moira Brown in Megaton or anywhere else without installing more mods.

For example, especially with TTW_difficult_journey, if I blew up Megaton where would I be able to sleep or store all my items including 100 - 500 pre war moneys? This is why I didn't blow up Megaton in my last playthrough. I don't trust random containers in the wastes.

If you blow up megaton you get a suite in tenpenny tower that is safe for storage.
