Subway scene

Post by Scraggyjohn » Fri Mar 01, 2013 8:08 pm

Not really much of a big suggestion but I'd like to see the subway system, the one you use to travel from the Mojave to the Capital wasteland look something like the Presidential Metro from the Broken Steel Expansion and like when you use the train on that level. And perhaps if you start in either side you have to repair the train system like in the actual Broken Steel mission.

You can see the train in action at 7:21 in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLHmszZKoO8

There are plans to make the train ride move like the presidential train, the team have been working on it and even though it's not complete yet, I can tell you it already looks awesome wink.

I think Chucksteel considered implementing repair the train and/or the terminals to be able to use it, I am not sure if he will do it later or not, for now it's easier for testers to be able to ride the train as soon as they reach it, but maybe in the future he will do it laugh.

I personally favour going through the dark tunnels, face up all the dangerous encounters. Even the subway system back to operate, it would be fun some parts are disconnected so we have to walk some, numerous danger ahead. That's my two cents. ;)

I agree! Seems like the biggest gripe with it is it's not *Lore Friendly enough. How realistic is it that in post apocalyptica you can ride a train across country? Pretty freakin realistic to anyone who's been through the magic sewer, I'll say. Anyway Chuck said the new update will come with a few stops. Here's to hoping a few of those revolve around getting the rail lines in that area working again so hopping a train to vegas doesn't seem out of place to some.

My project Dash is on Kickstarter!
