Well I got Darnified UI (didn't use it since fallout 3 but always loved it) and noticed a smiley vault boy face on the start screen that tells us our FNV and DarnUI versions. Would it be possible to have TTW display on the start screen it's version too? I think it would be a nice addition and with the number of players increasing it would also make it easy for them to know what version they have installed

That or tack it on to the end
That or tack it on to the end of an ENB (if you use it)? But the Darn one makes more sense. I lack the skills for it though.

I will look into this It is a good idea and, if it's just editing an image it might not be too hard. Although I do know Darn used a lot of XML hacking and, I know Jack about that.

Well I guess we could put a small version number after the "A tale of two wastelands" title image, but that would need someone to change the picture and give it to Jax to include it in the installer every time a new version would be released, which sounds like a lot of work.

I could do it. Though the way Darn does it is to have the version embedded into an xml file. So TTW would need to start shipping with menu files, and would then need to be patched against all the other HUD mods (like Darn). So really not a great idea. Hmm.

This is true. Adding TTW
This is true. Adding TTW version info to the Darn/ FNV version strings on the main title screen would be nothing, but would have to be updated to reflect each release and patched into everyone's HUD mods. If this can be integrated into the patcher then the only issue is the fact that it's based on Darn. Even if Grib builds a standalone version, and if the HUD patching functionality can be feasibly added to the installer, one would need to have uHud to even add Project Nevada. I'm running the risk of assuming here, but I'm thinking it inevitably leads to CTDs for people who unknowingly add hud mods after the fact, even if full disclosure is given in big bold red text on the alpha download page.
What about a corner message for a couple of seconds that displays only once when you load in? It's not HUD reliant thus infinately more compatible out of the box than that alternative.

I don't know, i feel like
I don't know, i feel like just putting the version in the bottom left or right of the title image would be best. Just use the one that comes standard with TTW, from now own use that as a base. Just write in the version with the dialog/menu font. When the next version is released, use the base image again.
That's just me though. I would think it's best if you only saw it when starting the game, and in a pretty standard place.
