Yeah cheaty mcdeathclaws are beyond the laws of armor and plating. :P

For the record though, I play my game with DR and DT and it is far superior (IMO)

I vote to keep the FO3 perks the way they are. (Although either way I'm fine with it, I can change them back for myself if it came to it)

Which is why melee/unarmed excel using the gauntlet.

If life is but a test, where's the damn answer key?!?!?

I figured they were, but if North Rawr had ignore that would've indicated a bug... it's really weird

Really? I have been told numerous times that Deathclaws do not ignore DT/DR. Anyway, my point still stands about being immune to melee damage.

To my understanding there's no way you can be immuned to damage.

Every resistance is capped at 85.

A feral ghoul reaver's melee is 50dmg in normal mode.

DMG - DR 85% = 7.5 post DR dmg

7.5 post DR dmg - 85DT = -77.5

So final damage taken is using the post DR value X 20% = 1.5

Deathclaw is always fun, from my experience in vanilla FNV it seems to ignore DT but not DR. Chems help to last 1 or 2 hits more. It seems to have its own special "FMinDamMultiplier" value(default 20% applied to post DR, post DT), the thing is its base melee damage is so high that makes all these irrelevant when it gets close. The only way up close with a deathclaw would be using melee special attack that knocks down.

shotguns with "and stay back" perk are much easier for that.  especially the combat and riot shotguns, since you can drop a ton of rounds into the DC pretty quickly.
