Looking for a mod that rebalances the enemy health and resistances in new Vegas to be more like that in fallout 3.
the transition between wastelands is pretty disappointing when you are level 20 plus as pretty much everything in Vegas can be killed in one to two shots and special ammo is pretty much meaning less.
wanting something that just touches the enemy balance in terms of either health and resistances to make them like fo3 or something to improve the level lists so at higher levels you find tougher creatures/npcs.
Not really looking for a "increased dmg" mod, as i think the game is pretty well balanced on that front when it comes to the dc side and id like to avoiding messing with it.

Not sure if this is something that would interest you, but https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/69842 -OR- https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/71112 might do something like you would like in another manner. Basically, you (and in the second mod your companion/follower) get reset back to level 1 - as you would be to start a normal FNV game. I use the 2nd one, and it helps make starting the Mojave part of TTW more of a challenge. It works fine (as in it actually works...) but it is not a perfect 'fix' for your horribly overpowered character. It is still significantly easier, for example:
1) You keep many/most of your perks earned in the Capital Wasteland, many of which raise your skill levels.
2) You keep the skill points from reading skill books.
That being said, it is a huge improvement compared to leaving Doc Mitchell's house as a level 30, 40 or 50 with all the accompanying buffs to health points etc.
Not sure if this will check enough of your boxes to make it worthwhile, but it does keep the Mojave from being a literal walk in the park...

its an interesting concept and one i did look at trying for this playthrough, but it ultimately doesent fix the underlying issue with balance.
even when starting from level one you quickly reach higher level in new Vegas, at wich point the games horrible mid to late game balancing just rears its ugly head again.
I guess i just have to wait for the planned TTW wasteland releveling update.

Use the slower leveling mods. Nv or f3 will do. That would slow down the speed of level up in mojave due to quest xp.

There is an option in the .ini files to disable the more rapid leveling in the Mojave - two actually. If I remember correctly... I am trying to stick to mods that are reliably updated for the latest version of TTW (and NOT on the forum's "bad mod" list), and am not very comfortable trying to tweak the 'game balancing' (as you put it) as I would surely mess up the F3 side of things more than I'd 'fix' the NV side!SPITSPHIRE wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 11:58 pmits an interesting concept and one i did look at trying for this playthrough, but it ultimately doesent fix the underlying issue with balance.

Anywho... I use it simply because it is a working mod that is reliably updated (by a really good modder, imho) and does help make the second half of TTW more of a challenge - even though my main reason for using TTW is for the Fallout 3 side of things (can't make it work alone)! (you can add this mod after starting the game - I did the last time and it worked fine... just an aside if you do decide that this is the way to go)
