Can't recruit Dog/God from dead money dlc

That mod made the whole gala event skippable which helped me with finishing the dlc, but right now I got another problem with being stuck in dialog cutscenes in "old world blues and lansome road". I started all over again without enabling the frontier, will see if that fixes the problem.
