100% Fresh Install - Can't get to title screen

I have a brand new installation of FO3GOTY & NV, both from steam. I ran both games in order to complete first time setup and did not go further, then followed the recommended installation for TTW including both sequential updates. When I run NV with NVSE_Loader, I don't get past the logos before it crashes out completely with no errors. What should I do?

I know what you said. I got the same prob the 1st time run TTW.

I wont say anything about the causes, because I dont know.

I can tell how to get past it though.

1. Run FNV and FO3 about 1 hour each, like, playing the tutorial stage. I guess this is to make the engine has enough temporary files in its cache folder.

2. Then back to run TTW several times. If it crash, rerun it.

If you install TTW without any failure, then those two steps will get your TTW run in the 3rd hour.

You don't actually have to run either game at all, just run the launcher for each game. Set the graphics setting while in the launcher - that will force the launcher to write the ini files and registry entries used by the installer. You can then quit without running either game.

Follow the new written installation guide, not the old video installation guide.

Try running TTW before installing ANY OTHER MOD. Get TTW working, THEN add mods. In fact, once you have it working, make an archive of the whole shebang so that WHEN you screw things up, you have a clean save to restore from.

Rerunning the launchers seems to have done it for me, thank you very much.
