How to exclude NV items/mechanics?

Hi, thank you for this wonderful mod. I've been having fun in Washington for the last ~40 hours with it.
However, Jericho and I have essentially been stupidly overpowered since hour 5 of this playthrough in sight of AP ammo, sniper silencers, and other items. Is there a way to exclude all New Vegas items from the Capital map so that I don't memorise what I shouldn't use?

There's no real way to remove stuff easily, however you can turn up the difficulty a notch.

We'll be working on difficulty parity for the next update and already have adjusted some things.

Sounds great. I've been on Very Hard this whole time. I'm a programmer myself, can you give me any hints as to the troubles with excluding NV items?

It's tedium to edit all the leveled lists and we integrated stuff and balanced it very carefully, removing things will create a lot of holes. We rebalanced the weapons too from Fallout 3 and also added DT and similar to the Fallout 3 enemies, and a myriad of recipes, food, ammo, chems, items... you'd be basically undoing everything we did and the game wouldn't work anymore after removing it.

TTW was never meant to be a straight port of Fallout 3, it is possible perhaps to do that, I've thought about it.

Ooh, ooh, are you talking about that balance pass of NV you mentioned like a year ago? Boosting difficulty and adding leveling to NPCs/creatures in Mojave Wasteland?

We're making a pass over F3 and getting stuff to parity with FO3 to start. We'll also be adding Tier 4 to some enemies which were missed in broken steel such as BoS and Raiders. I also fixed the armor spawning for Enclave and a few others.
