Cannot RE-Install TTW

I started out trying to download a couple of new mods (“Fallout New California”, and “Star the Wandering Currier” (a patch that would allow me to play both FONC and TTW in one game)), I have had TTW downloaded for almost a year with no problems. Unfortunately, every time I tried to create a new character I would appear with a default character in a empty room with no way out, after a couple of days of trying to get it to work I tried to reinstall everything. I thought I deleted everything from TTW (without an uninstaller I just tried to delete all the files it added), FONC, and even FONV itself. After reinstalling FONV I’m trying to reinstall TTW, but every time I try to use the TTW install.exe I get an error message saying:
“You have decompressed Fallout: New Vegas BSA archives, TTW can be installed on the vanilla game version only. Please reinstall Fallout: New Vegas and try again.
So, I uninstalled FONV again and tried to install it again, with the same error message. Dose anyone know how I can get the installer to start working?

manually delete the entire FNV folder and redownload/install

took a while to reinstall everything, but its working ok now. i needed to clean out my mods file anyway.
