Asking advice regarding texture compatibility

Good evening, gents. After a very unsuccessful weekend trying to mod F3, I decided to finally try TTW. I've been looking at these guides as a foundation, being thorough if anything I like is compatible and such. So far so good (or at least better than my past weekend experience).

As you can deduct from the subject's name, I'm now having some doubts about installing all the textures, since in part the reason why I registered was to download the NMC cleaning scripts. I know the aforementioned guides are not completely up to date, but since textures are just that, maybe they are less troublesome.

So, I humbly ask you, is there any reason to NOT install any of the textures recommended in the aforementioned guides?

I don't know if it's important to mention, but I'm only planning in playing Capital Wasteland and DC.
