Fixing Good Karma for Killing Talon, Powder Gangers, Fiends, etc

Is there or has there ever been any mods that undo the automatic good karma gained from killing the above-mentioned factions? That has always been a sore spot of bad design in FO3 and NV and REALLY makes it impossible to play an evil character throughout TTW. I should not be a 'messiah' after poisoning the DC wasteland and I had to defend myself from Powder Gangers almost immediately after setting foot in the Mojave...

There is an issue with some of vanilla karma gains from kills like getting 100 points for killing ghouls and loosing only 2 points for killing some very evil characters. You should get only something like 5 karma for killing non unique evil characters. Think it's fixed in TTW and should cause no problem if you got lot of negative karma. Karma goes from -1000 to 1000 so gaining like 20-30 positive karma every now and then shouldn't be a problem since you will constantly work on your evilness right?
Karma values break like this:
Very good: +750 to +1000.
Good: +250 to +749.
Neutral: -249 to +249.
Evil: -749 to -250.
Very evil: -1000 to -750

I remember having issues of keeping negative karma back when game launched too.

TTW follows FNV weird logic and makes it so the player gains 200 karma for killing Very Evil characters :twisted: .

There was an old mod on the FNV Nexus that removed the karma gain from killing Evil and Very Evil characters, that mod should work with TTW, since I'm sure all it does is globally change those values to 0.

EDIT: I found the mod, it's called Killing Karma Rewards Removed

EDIT 2: It's true that the karma system is a mess and is broken. But I think there is a lot of misunderstanding on what it is supposed to be.
The karma system is not supposed to be a "personal" thing, it's supposed to be a universal thing.
For example, the "universe" doesn't care if you're defending yourself when you kill an evil person, the universe only cares that that evil person is gone. Killing a good person might not make the situation that bad, specially if that good person wasn't having much of a good impact on the "universe", but killing one evil person might have a big impact instead (a good person might just be living without really helping, but also not hurting anyone, an evil person might be making life miserable, or even taking the life of a lot of people).
I can't explain this very well, since I just woke up and my brain needs time to start functioning properly. :lol:
But yeah, that mod up there should work... Hopefully :P .

The problem I have with karma in Fallout is just how negative stealing is. Seriously, taking a single bottle of whiskey is worse than killing a half dozen innocent people. It's especially bad because some of the bad people you kill and get positive karma leave their camps as owned, so you can't loot their stuff without losing every bit of good karma you gained over the entire game. You can easily go from 1000 karma to 0 looting less than a room full of minor stuff. :o :x

I'm not playing an over-the-top evil, rampaging serial killer, cannibal character, just a reasonably evil one that has done some major evil things. So I shouldn't have to be outdoing my own evilness all the time just to stay evil. I've had to resort to stealing whisky bottles to offset it, now I'll try the mod Risewild mentioned... Thanks all.
