Hello, new member here. I searched but couldn't find a definite answer - maybe I just glossed over it by mistake - but can a member of the TTW team please tell me what is your policy concerning permissions when it comes to creating mods for TTW? Do we need expressed permission, or do we simply have to credit you if the mod involves editing assets contained within TTW?
I'm a modest modder myself, and want to release a work around I've devised to bridge the gap between TTW and another mod currently listed as incompatible. If I can release it, players will finally be able to play TTW 3.2 with New Vegas Uncut - Freeside Open without any issues, but I had to edit the terminal within the Train Station to make it work on the TTW side. Is that allowed?
The terminal is otherwise unchanged, I just had to add a few extra choices to the main menu for player utility, to get the desired effect that will make BOTH mods playable at the same time.
Thanks in advance. I will check back ASAP but if I don't reply soon it's because I'm at work.

Re: Noob Question About Permissions
I'm not a TTW member but if your making a mod for TTW itself, your fine. It's converting Fallout 3 mods and some New Vegas mods you'll need to get permission for with releasing.Modding for TTW itself doesnt need permission.Your good.

Re: Noob Question About Permissions
Thanks, I appreciate the heads up! I think I may have devised a simple work around to the conflict between TTW and Freeside Open. It's my own fault, but I only skimmed over the incompatible mods list, and started a game using New Vegas Uncut - Freeside Open. Unfortunately, it's one of those mods that you have to commit to, and can't uninstall it without breaking your save file.
I always like to rely on solutions that don't use the console commands to preserve immersion, so I added a simple line of code to the Lucky 38 Suite's Terminal that fast travels the player character directly into the TTW Train Station, and then modded the Train Station terminals to Fast Travel them back to the Lucky 38. It kind of breaks immersion, using a terminal to "teleport" yourself in and out of buildings, so I spruced it up to make it look like your character is booking their train trip online, and then immediately departing to their destination!
That way, players will finally have a simple, fully functioning work around that allows for the use of both mods, at least until someone with more modding experience can fix the conflicts with the Freeside game space nav meshes that is causing the conflict.
GLAD to hear I'm going to be able to release this! On the Nexus it'll be called, "Union Station Online Booking"!

Sorry for the late reply, I have been busy in RL and barely have any time to engage with the community
