To preface, I just want to say I'm using several other mods. I'm aware this screws up any chance of really knowing what's going on. Mostly, I just wanted to make a report of this, in case it really is a TTW thing.

Fawkes' carry weight is... odd. According to the companion wheel, it's only 165 Lbs.

The Fallout 3 Wiki (And I know this isn't Fallout 3 technically, so this wiki is hit or miss for accuracy, but) says Fawkes can carry 229 Lbs of gear. Unless there was a nerf to him in TTW that I forgot to read, he's a bit weaker than before.

He's carrying roughly that for me right now. However, I can't get him to carry it by just giving him things normally. If he's "over-encumbered," I need to take something heavy from him, before giving him more things, and then returning the heavy item to him. He is now carrying more than he was before we traded, despite being "unable to carry anymore."

He couldn't carry anymore. I took back my missile launcher. I have him 25 Lbs of various missiles. I gave him back the missile launcher. And the wheel still says it's only at 165/165 Lbs.

This is part of New Vegas, it reduces companions carry weight. I could remove it from Fawkes and Lily I suppose, since they are supermutants.

:Edit: Also, don't give Fawkes a RL or any other explosive... bad idea :D

That's true of all Bethesda games, but given the expanded explosives in NV, it's truer there than ever. I made the mistake of asking Cass to carry my dynamite once... JUST once. :lol:

My God, I'd forgotten all about that... I haven't given companions grenades in years.

For some reason, I forgot about that. Luckily he's not used it.

As for the weight thing, it's your call, since it's your mod. I didn't realize New Vegas did that. Though IMO it would make sense he could carry a lot with those arms of his. I as the player have a higher carry weight than he does in Fallout 3. Though TBF I do have Strong Back.

Yeah, even Dogmeat can carry 165 pounds. Fawkes ought to be able to carry a lot more. This seems like the perfect thing for a mod - sets the companion carry weight to something different for every companion depending on who and what they are.
