I cannot start TTW!!!

I've downloaded the necessary files and gone through the steps as the video tutorial provides. Everything appears to be in order, I haven't "fixed" either game at all (I'd previously had to edit FO3's ini file to adjust to a multi core processor to reduce crashing).

I tried to launch FONV via the launcher.exe, and it does start up, but crashes immediately after the intro credits sequence. It doesn't even get to the main menu. I've set the program to Win 7 compatibility and run as admin (as a Win 10 user).

Am I missing a step, or is this mod just not compatible with my setup? My processor is an Intel Core i7-7700HQ 64-bit OS. Thanks!

TTW comes with an older version of JIPLN. You should update it to the latest version.

Since you're on Windows 10, you might want to try NVTF for better performance. There's no need to run TTW on Windows 7 compatibility, TTW runs fine on Windows 10.

There shouldn't be any problems with your setup, mine is an Intel Core i7-6500U 64-bit Windows 10 OS and TTW works perfectly.

Now for some questions:
Did you install the TTW updates (TTW 3.2.1 and TTW 3.2.2)? And what mods and mod manager are you using?

I have Vortex, but I wasn't using it to install the stuff. I was just going through the motions via copying & pasting files, which seems to work fine. I've done stuff like this before for Valve mods, so I thought I could follow the steps in the video without using a mod program.

I downloaded the version of the JIPLN as it was linked on the site, the latest one, but I'll try the other one to see if it works. I had installed both updates 3.2.1 & 3.2.2, as the website suggested, and in the proper order.

I'm not tech-savvy at all, just a fan of the series and wanted to try this mod because I was hoping for something a bit more stable than the base games.

NVSE plugins dont seem to work when installed through vortex, you can try manually installing it.

I haven't actually been using Vortex to install anything. I've been trying to do it manually through 7-Zip (at least for extracting the download files). As far as I can tell the process is pretty much self-sufficient, the only thing I can't figure out is why the game crashes so instantaneously if I seem to have done everything according to the video. *I did get a little lost during the 'for users of these other programs' segments. But all of FO3's DLC files have been imported into FONV's folder in the Steam/Data path, as directed, along with the NVSE plugins (done automatically, I didn't actually have to get it myself. I double checked.).

Try running the default launcher, select data files, enable all the plugins (ignore the checkbox about files).

I opened the game, the checkbox appeared with all the .esm files and I enabled all of them. The start menu is up, it seems to be working. Hopefully the game will run now. Thank you so much!
