Anchorage DLC Buggy mess.

Post by DeidreTheHumble » Wed Jan 16, 2019 4:50 am

I don't know if any of the other DLC's are like the same, but my experience with Anchorage has been bad. :(
I understand i might've done something to cause this upon myself, but please share your knowledge.

Starting the main mission at the cliffs i had a freeze, and then another one while destroying the artillery cannons.
after completing each mission where it teleports me, it has been a bad/corrupted load...
meaning in the tent i can't talk to any NPC's (And they're silent.) and if i try to leave my loading screens are infinite.
And on my third mission i just had a 15 second lag freeze, and then i continued to play another 10 seconds before it froze again.

Small issue: Sometimes when NPC's say gooodbye or seeya later, they're silent; And audio time to time seemed slightly delayed in combat, like a second behind when an enemy yells something obscene.

One other small issue, it's been a few years since i've played fallout 3, but has the AI path following always been this bad?
EX) I'll follow a NPC on a quest and he'll run into a wall for 3 seconds before changing his path; even in interiors when AI have a better path than a exterior free roam.

And one last baby issue, no pun intended...
In the beginning when you're being born, your father's first few words seem to bass boosted and broken EX) "Are you a BPmmhhh!!! or a girPHHhmmm!!" Not those exact lines, but somewhere near there...
I don't find it anywhere else in the game besides that point.

The rest of the game so far (Roaming megaton and the waste) Hasn't had these issues besides the AI pathing)

MY SPECS: 1050ti 4GB, i5-8300h 4.00GZ
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KQ ... UTF8&psc=1

How mine differs from the original download:
Enabling Ambient conclusion in nvidia control panel.
Using Gamerpoet's optimization video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cypqage_Pdk
Of course skipping things TTW already contained, like the mods etc... only using the INI edits in the video.
My mods are only things that the TTW allow without issues: NVAC, NVSR and the update to JIP.

Are my issues well known?

BTW: Both my fallout 3 and new vegas are steam, and downloaded into TTW without a mod manager. (Manual)
Plus i got all the updates, and the latest version.

Also, my laptop above is a half month old; so i doubt it's a hard drive issue.
Though the one stick of 8gb ram could be a small issue.

Conclusion with my thoughts: My audio is a little bugged, do i need to re-download both games?

Sounds like your machine has audio driver issues.

Are you using any mods?

Nope, only those listed above and what comes with TTW.
BTW, every time i restart TTW with a new character, it's the same lines that get the bass boost broken effect; so i know those are compromised.

Got any explanation for my other issues? :(

EDIT: I just had another freeze after completing missions 3, and my team mates were silent the whole time.

All I can think of is you are using a non-english version of the game, or trying to use german no-gore version.

If the audio was re-encoded, it should not crackle unless you have some kind EQ/Boost software with your audio drivers.
