Sorry i know there a already a lot of people having this problem and found the solution, i am also having the same problem,
Trying to install the update says can not find ttw files in specified directory, i installed TTW directly into the game data folder, and i removed read only attribute form it, then then i tried to install the update directly into the data folder and its giving me that error.
i'm stumped, i dont know what i am doing wrong?

Make sure you run the update as admin. Double-check all paths to be certain they're set right. I had the same problem the first time I tried to update - I had one of the paths set wrong.

Re: TTW update can't find TTW files
Hello there. I fixed my problem by simply running the launcher again.
In my first try, I didn't read the direction of the second directory, so it gave the "Could not find~" message.
But even if I changed the second directory to the correct one, it gave me the same message.
Only after relaunching the launcher(as admin of course), then putting in the correct directories the update progressed correctly.
Putting it here in hopes of someone else having the same issue fix the problem.

Re: TTW update can't find TTW files
Even me, a librarian, falls for the UI trap of similar looking UI elements panel to panel, presuming they are the same from the last time we ran the installer. Installers are by nature meant to present a unified, but simplified experience for the user, but . . . as clearly can be seen checking presumptions isn't something we are trained to do with software install. Press Go. Worked? Must be the same every time we run that installer, right? That's what we have to work with in our brains.
In short, the middle/2nd Directory the installer is looking for is NOT the same the 2nd and 3rd time we run the installer as it the 1st. The first item is now the New Vegas directory that it should already know. The 2nd is where you installed the TTW 3.2 or 3.2.1 update. The third directory is very likely going to be the same as the 2nd directory unless you moved it since.

I'm unable to install the update as well. I'm selecting the file locations, making sure that the TTW files are there.

Check again. You probably have one of the fields set to the wrong place. As the post before yours says, it's almost a guaranty that you will get one of the fields wrong as they change from one installer to the next, fooling you into thinking you've got it all set correctly. Even I fell for this trap.
