The download worked, but...

Post by H1tSc4n » Sat Nov 24, 2018 3:41 pm

Now it crashes every time after the bethesda and obsidian logos (more precisely right before the menu appears).
It's strange, because the mod did work for a while.

Crashing just before reaching the title screen means the ttw_nvse and jip_ln plugins are missing.

Or as it was in my case maybe the TTW.esm as well as all of the FO3.esms had gotten deactivated for whatever reason. I was also playing ok but then came back the next day and it would kick me out right as I got to the load screen when I tried to start up. Roy suggested a few things and then I discovered that the TTW.esm and the FO3.esms were not activated. Not sure why it deactivated but it had. Reactivated everything and it then started up fine.

As far as the ttw_nvse and jip_ln plugins that Roy suggested to check, look in the FONV/data/nvse/pluggins folder to see if they are there.

I think Roy just made a typo which I then stupidly copied and pasted. It should be jip_nvse and not jip_ln.

The mods name is JIP_LN , the plugin name is not the same. I just call stuff by it's mod name.

As for it not launching, it sounds like the installer was not run as administrator so the game exe was not patched. You can run the patcher manually as admin, it should be there in the folder with FalloutNV.exe

I found out that it actually seems to work if i start the game via mod organizer

If you installed TTW via mod organizer you have to launch it through Mod Organizer every time.

You can click the "shortcut" button under Run in mod organizer to make a shortcut on your desktop that will circumvent having to open the program and manually click Run every time you play the game if you like.
