Thats very interesting, I would like to get these from you so I can compare them with the GOTY versions.

Sure I can send you the copies of the FO3 DLCs that I have. Really don't need them myself anymore. Just let me know how to get them to you.

Re: Keep Getting This Error Trying to Install 3.2
Did this ever get figured out? I'm in the same boat as previous posts. My F03 is all from discs, and has always been patched to 1.7. It has been saved on a seagate for 10+ years now and has worked for every previous install of TTW. Same error with the ferris wheel in point lookout ferriswheelbase.nif.
If it's been figured out, that'd save me cash I'm trying to put into this old rig of mine. Finally got it working again after ages of it being down.

Re: Keep Getting This Error Trying to Install 3.2
Been trying to get the 1.7 patch to work on windows10 to see if it actually updates. Not sure it's working though, it boots the game up and doesn't seem to close the patcher right when you exit the game. I don't remember if it's supposed to do that.
After thinking about it, I can't say that the copy on my seagate is patched. The 1.7 patch is from 2009. I think I might have always patched it after copying off and that could now be the issue instead; Windows10 doesn't patch F03 right. Will do more testing. Compatibility modes, moving where the files are stored, and maybe some other things if I have to go that far.
Thank you Gary, err, Roy. If I don't somehow fix the problem myself through one of these many things, I would be happy to zip up what the TTW patcher is calling problem files.
---addendum
Got the patcher to exit correctly via moving FO3 from program 86. Moved FNV as well and reran TTW patcher, same error. Will be sending you a link shortly Gary.

I think possibly your source files are bad. Buy the GoG version.

Re: Keep Getting This Error Trying to Install 3.2
I think my only option is to buy a digital version of F03 at this point. I could reinstall all the discs again, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna end up with the same error. Sad they broke the disc version of F03 for TTW. Least this is solved now though.
Unless it's just me, and I literally just need to reinstall the point lookout disc. Roy, you said you had the discs, can you check if the Installer crashes at 22000ish/200000 files on the ferriswheel.nif. Does the 1.7 patch even touch the point lookout files?
I'm not against rebuying F03, it was/is a great game. Just slightly averse to rebuying what I've already paid for once unless it is absolutely the only choice after FO4 being, well, not Fallout in my opinion. Didn't even play 76, so can't speak for that one.

Re: Keep Getting This Error Trying to Install 3.2
I have the Retail version of Fallout 3, and the GFWL downloadable installers. That works fine for me, and several others have tested this.

Re: Keep Getting This Error Trying to Install 3.2
I don't have the GFWL installers, I have the physical discs for the DLCS. Is this where we are getting confused?
Before I dig out discs and have to dust off an old model to rip a disc to a seagate to use on my driveless laptop, can we make sure we're not talking about different things.
Like this is what I have, but this is not my photo.

I'm trying to dig up my discs and do a fresh install, all from discs. Should be loads of fun. I don't know what the hell you folks are talking about when you say installers from GFWL still. Saw pics of some saying GFWL, mine all just say GFW. So, maybe that's it? Will post again after I've installed F03 fresh on ancient laptop and copied fresh to Seagate and then tested again with TTW installer.

Re: Keep Getting This Error Trying to Install 3.2
This particular release I do not have, I will see if I can find it on amazon.
Zeta was never released except on the GOTY edition.
EDIT
OK So I bought this, and the anchorage+pitt , and the GOTY edition so I have all versions for testing.
