Love this, I was wondering why TTW was so damn easy even on very hard, literally 1 shotting human enemies, time to enter Falloutsouls :D

You can't one shot enemies on very hard? Are you using some other damage mod?

trying to figure out my damage woes and wrap my head around DT. Back in the day I played FWE and thought their damage to NPC and player was spot on. If you got caught out in the open you got popped hard.
Having trouble replicating this with TTW.

Currently have 2x damage mod and SawyerBatty’s edit in play. I think with DT I’m going to have to acquiesce to the mechanic instead of fighting it.

I could start with lower player health. As it stands now I’m starting with 190 health.

BLEED , I have no idea what it does in detail. BLEED by itself just in any enough damage for my taste when I play it.

If anyone has any mod combinations or Xedit
Changes I could make to simulate FWE , I’m all ears. That mod got damage right.

I don't understand what you mean by FWE got damage right, it was horribly imbalanced with bullet sponge enemies and stun locking knock down effects...

If you want bullet sponges just remove any damage mod and play vanilla very hard and use something else to lower your health.

BLEED is glass cannon behavior, using another damage multiplying mod with it is complete overkill, you are doing anywhere from 4* to 10* as much damage as vanilla. This mod also makes all weapons completely overpowered compared to vanilla, so that's another 2* to 10* damage mult. No wonder you can one shot things.

I must be doing something wrong. BLEED isn’t working that way at all in my game. I’ve got five mods installed.

FWE wasn’t bullet sponge. Like which enemies ? I played the mod for years and it was quick kill city.

It took 12 shotguns blast for me to die with BLEED in Springvale on very hard so I’m assuming I screwed something up majorly.

Yeah something must be wrong, you should die in 2-3 hits from a shotgun... or do you mean the single shotgun? that thing doesn't do crap for damage it's a tier 1 weapon. 12 shots seems excessive still.

Alright. Thanks for the frame of reference. I’m pretty sure I was talking about FWE’s early game play. It was insta death or 3/4 of your health gone if you made the wrong move.

DT is different also. I’m bitching about this but then got one shot by a Beastlord from AWOP behind megaton. I swear he has an automatic sniper rifle.

I always thought a shotgun was a shotgun.

Nah, the single shotgun uses 20ga, which is basically bird shot and not buck shot so it won't do anywhere near as much damage especially to an armored individual.

I’m getting hip to DT. I never played NV.

It makes sense that Springvale Raiders would have trouble damaging me if I’ve got 10DT worth of armor. Most of their weapons do between 10-30 damage so it would take many shots to eat away at 200 health.

I just wanted to make sure the entire game wasn’t like this? The idea of waking around and taking tons of raider gunfire and not dying is strange to me but I can see how the DT system would be more strategic.

I personally don't like high DT values, but NV is balanced pretty casually so not much we can do there without people complaining like hell about it.

That said, I'm probably going to do an armor rebalance which favors DR over DT, and DT will be much lower on most armors or not on them at all.
