Ah! Luvverly. More nibbley

Post by DireWulvyn » Fri Aug 07, 2015 5:23 pm

Ah! Luvverly. More nibbley info bits for brain food.

"kkarE' - Roy Batty [one of the demi-gods here onsite] said the same thing about the      "GeForce Experience" bloatware. It's gone now.

Just downloaded a driver update [v.353.62] for my nvidia card [MSI Afterburner GTX 770]. Let's see what happens...

"EyeDeck" - Love it [my sig. says it all]. Didn't know about that tweak. Will try it out.

Just a comment [I have NOT applied these updates/tweaks as yet];

I've installed NVSR with Roy Batty's .ini tweaks for newer processors [mine is an i7-4770K @ 3.5Ghz], and various other tweaks for smoother game play. It's made a helluva difference already, but I'm still getting the "stagger" effect due to lag in some areas, especially in "heavily" populated areas, mostly outdoors or inside casinos [population/NPC mods running of course, the Wasteland is lifeless w/o them].

I'm fairly certain it's due to the multitude of Sexout mods with their background scripts and scans that are running "behind the scenes" as it were [ie.-Pregnancy, Soliciting, Intimacy, Tryouts, Working Girl, Sex Assault, GG Naughty Trading Slavery], plus others. And of course, the SexoutNG scanner function.

Not just Sexout however, I've been testing newer/updated mods for a new TTW install from all over the sites, there's probably stuff in them too.

Looks like I'll have to downsize and just pick a few that fit into my personal perverted and debauched vision of the Fallout universe to ease the load.

THX

EDIT; Haw! Updated my nvidia driver and now it's working fine. Good to go.

Thanks to all you perps for the assist.

THX again [Really!]

Yes I have prerendered frames

Post by RoyBatty » Fri Aug 07, 2015 9:55 pm

Yes I have prerendered frames set to 1 (because I can't set it to 0) , but I still leave vsync off... even 20ms is too much for me.

I also have "prefer maximum performance" and "single display optimization"

Let me add a note that you can enable hooking the hash tables if they are not, this improves the performance when opening containers and things.

Could you tell us how it can be done?

I've seen multi-core tweaks

I've seen multi-core tweaks for Skyrim.  Do such tweaks -reliably- exist for FNV?  I've seen some posted, iirc, but not sure if they are placebos or engine-breaking or what.

Chaophim: The ones in this

Chaophim: The ones in this guide are not placebo, the rest of them you see around are, or don't work properly.

Tsurada: in the nvsr ini, simply set it to 1 if it's not.

There's two different ini's ,

There's two different ini's , one is for for 4.1.32 and older, and the other is for 4.1.36

The only differences for 4.1.36 should be removing the overrides for previous versions as they aren't needed.

For the older one I copied the overrides for the newer version into the older one.

Not sure why mines different, tired, drunk, who knows what happened.

Here's a fresh copy (for 4.1.36). I still think mode 2 might be more stable, I'll test a bit.

Hmm. This new ini has a few settings different from before, criticalsections idefaultmode, min/max fps, ithreadsfixedtocpus, bhookhashtables... were those wrong before, or are those tweaks to test? That's a lot of changes at once when you include the missing hashtable sections..

Threads fixed to cpu's should be 0, thought I did that.

MAX FPS is more a user setting, I leave it at 0 for myself (no cap).

bHookHashTables doesn't seems to cause any instabilities that I can tell, and really helps with container lag etc.
