Custom Radio Mods

Post by Elisenal » Sun Nov 29, 2015 5:59 am

I've tried at 3 radio mods so far. The IPip for Fallout 3 had me rename 20 songs to track01 - track20 all to find out that that mod itself won't load with Fallout: New Vegas, which this runs off. There is a New Vegas version but it would have me convert these songs to .wav files. My patience is gone.

I tried MyRadio that boasted an easy installation and easy song management. I pointed it to the directory of the songs in the IPip Fallout3 folder and checked it in FOMM. No issues booting the game and the station appears on the Radio tab. But nothing plays from it. Not even static. Just nothing. Help please?

I know we talked about this in the chat, but I am posting this here in case other people have this problem too.

Nexus user billymonster reported how he made the MyRadio mod work by following this instructions:

Thanks for this works great. here is how i got it to work.

  1. convert all mp3's to 128 kbps 44.1 khz 2 channel (used any audio converter free great product but make sure you uncheck the bundled software during install and run mbam after install to get rid of the forced pup)(might be open candy but can't remember) (converter will still work after removal )

  2. renamed all mp3's to 01.mp3 through to 15.mp3 (i only added 15 songs) make sure the number of songs added are in multiples of 5 (5,10,15,20 etc)

  3. run 1d3remover to remove any audio tags on all the mp3's

  4. run myradioinstall.jar file and add all the mp3's

  5. click install button and then direct it to your fallnv.exe

  6. enjoy your own radio station

tried many times but until i did all the above steps it was just silence..
